The AHSCP was founded in 2008 as a global membership organization for professionals who embrace, practice, and promote the concepts that:
- Beautiful skin is healthy skin.
- Healthy skin is achieved through and as a result of inner health.
Based upon the motto “Healthy, Beautiful Skin Starts From Within,” members of the AHSCP resolve to practice only healthy, holistic skin care techniques; use only healthy, natural, organic skin care products, and address skin care issues with a holistic approach that considers proper skin care, nutrition, emotional factors, and lifestyle choices.
The mission of the AHSCP is to:
- Help individuals and organizations learn more about advanced holistic skin care by providing:
- Training and information about the newest research on natural ingredients and non-invasive methods for corrective, anti-aging, and anti-inflammatory skin care treatments.
- Training on traditional European and Eastern techniques and remedies to approach individualized skin care protocols that considers nutrition, emotional balance, and lifestyle choices
- Study, validate, and share how a healthy approach to beauty is more effective in the long term.
- Encourage networking among holistic practitioners including licensed aestheticians, medical doctors, doctors of oriental medicine, massage therapists, etc.
- Support research into holistic health and skin care.
- Provide continuing education.
- Certify aestheticians in the practice of holistic skin care.
The AHSCP is headquartered in a historic building in downtown Kalamazoo, Michigan. This facility is just one of many locations across the nation where classes and educational opportunities will be held.
